A few weeks ago, I had the chance to photograph the Chateau Lill Summer Open House, and it was honestly one of those days that reminded me how lucky I am to do what I do. The energy was joyful, the space was stunning (as always), and the vendor team that brought it all to life was next-level.
If you’ve never been to Chateau Lill in Woodinville, it’s hard to describe just how magical it feels in person. The estate has this old-world European charm — think vineyards, dreamy light, and elegant details tucked into every corner. The stairs leading up to the Terrace patio alone are a moment. And when it’s all dressed up for an open house like this? Pure magic.
One of the standout features from the day was the tented setup on the Terrace. With rentals from CORT Party Rental and chandeliers by Lightsmiths Seattle, it felt like stepping into a garden party in the French countryside. I could’ve stayed under those lights all evening, camera in hand, soaking in the ambiance.
The design was warm, inviting, and romantic – the kind of setting that makes you want to gather, sip something bubbly, and stay awhile.
The open house was truly a collaborative effort by some of Seattle’s most talented creatives. It’s always such a joy to photograph events where every single detail has been considered and cared for.
From the floral designs by Little Joy Fleurs to the paper goods by Krisanna Elizabeth Co., every element felt intentional. The Vintage Ambiance rentals added such beautiful texture and depth, while John Howie Catering served up the most delicious bites (I may have sampled more than once – purely for documentation, of course).
Green Apple Events & Catering kept everything running beautifully behind the scenes, and Magnolia Rhapsody created a tablescape that was pure elegance. K. Marina Beauty made sure everyone looked their best, and Sip With Goldie added the perfect pop of fun.
Guests got to enjoy live music from Jennings & Company Jazz Duo, hop in the PhotoBox Seattle photo booth, chat with the lovely Officiant Grace, and even enjoy a little something sweet from Nutty Squirrel Gelato to end the day.
It was the kind of event that didn’t just showcase what’s possible at Chateau Lill – it made you want to plan your own wedding there immediately.
