Gracie & JEB’s Rehearsal Dinner at The Jefferson Hotel

There are some nights that just stick with you.

Not because they’re over-the-top or wildly extravagant, but because they’re so full of heart. Gracie and JEB’s rehearsal dinner at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond was one of those nights.

Honestly, from the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be special. The whole room felt warm and electric at the same time it was beautifully styled, full of laughter, and just brimming with love.

Gracie wore this incredible dress. Seriously, it was stunning. It had these delicate 3D florals all over it that made it feel like something out of a dream. Elegant but still modern and cool in a way that just fit her so perfectly. She was glowing all night, and not just because of the dress and she just radiated joy.

And JEB? He had this relaxed, confident energy about him. The way he looked at her, the way their friends cheered them on… it was impossible not to feel the love in that room.

The Jefferson was the perfect setting for this celebration. If you’ve ever been there, you know how iconic it is—those gorgeous columns, the staircase, the classic Southern charm. It gave the whole night this timeless, grand feeling, without ever feeling too formal.

But what really stood out to me was their head table. It was beautifully massive and was such a beautiful reflection of who they are. They have so many close friends, and it was clear how important it was for them to be surrounded by all of them. It wasn’t just a table—it was this incredible symbol of how much love and community they’ve built together.

As a photographer, these are the nights I live for. The ones where I get to capture not just pretty things, but real moments. The hugs, the happy tears, the belly laughs during toasts…

There’s something about rehearsal dinners that feels so intimate. Everyone’s a little less on edge than they might be on the wedding day, and you really get to see the why behind the celebration. And with Gracie and JEB, that “why” was so clear – two people who are completely loved, supported, and meant for each other.

I feel so lucky to have been there to document it all!
