When we think romance, we think of this duo. Natural love, between two old souls in a Virginia lover’s dreams.

These two are huge on Virginia History, and often find themselves surrounded by all things History. This history packed location, where our founding father George Washington was born, was the perfect spot for this anniversary session.

George Washington Birthplace is a National Monument filled with all the Virginia romance imaginable. In the heart of the Northern Neck of Virginia is a romantic beach tucked away beyond the tree lines.

Think long rows of perfectly planted oak trees plantation style, soft green moss growing on beautiful trees over 50 years old, soft sand beaches filled with shark’s teeth, and lots of Virginia driftwood from hurricanes that rolled through. Not to mention the sound of the breeze that blows through the trees from the water.

This National Monument is located right along the Potomac River. This secret location was the perfect little piece of heaven for these two old souls.
The location was extraordinary, but the real star of the show? The dress. The elegant and oh so unique wedding dress.

Morgan and Joey’s engagement session revolved around a 1930’s wedding dress that this bride bought from, wait for it, a THRIFT STORE.

While Morgan and Joey had an elopement style wedding originally, they were interested in reinventing their wedding day look from their anniversary session. Morgan says that she likes her vintage wedding dress MORE than her wedding dress she wore only a year before the session.

These two are the definition of ‘old soul’ romance, so this historic location with her vintage attire fit right in. Not to mention her gorgeous Vintage floral basket (also picked up from, you got it, a thrift store. talk about a bargain.) Does Anyone else suddenly want to do digging in some thrift stores?!
